For me LOST was something that went around the school yard you weren't cool unless you could say Sawyer's newest nicknames for the other castaways. But slowly the hyped died away but a true lostie says loyal. For me LOST appealed on so many levels, sociological, psychological and as a keen writer the character development was amazing. And i learnt to love the characters!
BEWARE SPOILERS !!!!! (and copied wiki content sorry)
So LOST follows surviving passengers of Oceanic Airlines Flight 815 on what seems to be a desrted island. Their survival is threatened throughout the season by a number of mysterious entities, including polar bears, an unseen creature that roams the jungle (the "Smoke Monster"), and the island's malevolent, and largely unseen, inhabitants known as "the Others". They encounter a French woman named Danielle Rousseau who was shipwrecked on the island 16 years prior to their crash. They also find a mysterious metal hatch buried in the ground. While two characters try to force their way into the hatch, four other survivors attempt to leave the island on a raft that they have constructed. Meanwhile, flashbacks centered on individual survivors detail their lives prior to the plane crash.
Kerrie's top 5 season one moments (in no order):
1. Any scene with Boone Carlyle in it. (Ian Somerhalder before he got all dark and broody)
2. The epic crash scene on the beach, i first watched this in an English Class at school! Also i found this amazing as it was so horrible yet there was no blood!
3. The Mr Sawyer story-line set up in episode 8, this is heart breaking and is chilling even in series 6!
4. Shannon/Sayid (uber cuteness overload)
5.The others- they were soo creepy and so cool here. Just footfalls in the forest, are they the black smoke?!?
But there was a few things that annoyed me:
The Boone/ Shannon storyline for one. I am not even going to talk about it
Arzt dying (you are a true fan if you remember him!)
The stereotypical Britsh heroin addict rock star- Charlie is so much better than how he is written here!
What did you think of Lost?
