However like any large community you get the odd argument and complaint. I am not going to "go there" as i don't feel like I have any right to lecture anyone on anything, but this is not what such a community is about. There is no rule to say you have to all share the same opinions or even be friends with everyone else. Hell, over at Polish Acholics Anon for example of just one of the groups I am part of there are more than a 1000 of us girls (and guys).
A good example of this hatred can be found over at Beabarella's blog. A newfound blogger she got upset when someone posted a comment on one of youtube video's (see the full story here). In her words:
"Women get such a bad name for being bitches; I know I'm being horribly stereotypical here as I'm sure there are some guys out there who look up these vids, but I imagine the majority of watchers are female and we are not helping ourselves by being horrid ass bitches. I see beauty blogging as a sisterhood. We're all here together because we love to arse about and be ridiculous and have fun and the best way to do that is together! So wether it's on Youtube or on someones blog, love your fellow ladies, tell them how great they look, that you like their eyeshadow that day or that you loved a tip in their post because its such a good feeling to read that someone appreciated something that you have put so much time and effort into making and it defiantly balances out the witches that do decide to leave odd little comments too! Your fellow ladies need you!!!"
So she created this:
"So if you are with me and are against bitchiness in blogging and want to send out some sisterly love then please add the button from the sidebar to your page or copy and paste the picture below to your blog (or both!) to let people know that your not about sly comments and mean digs but about products and peace!!"
I totally agree wth this so this button is going to be added to my blog.
However this isn't the end of the story...
My wonderful friend Claire decided to create a nail art challenge that is about you (Read her full post here). She stated that:
What a great idea! I fully support this and will try my hardest to post at least once about a mani that reflects me or something i have done in that week.
Claire and I worked together to create this lovely graphic. Please feel free to add this to your side-bar and take part too! Drop me a comment so I can link to your blog. And lets stop the hatred and start loving each other like we love our polish!
